The Tufts University Police Department is investigating an act of antisemitic vandalism that occurred in a residence hall on Saturday, when a Jewish student awoke to find his mezuzah removed from the doorpost outside his room. The act comes amid rising levels of antisemitism throughout the U.S. and higher education.

In other news, recently released data from the 2020 census reveals significant population growth in Medford and Somerville. Medford grew by 6.2%, and Somerville by 7.0% over the last decade. Data also point to increased diversity across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
