Carol Joyner discusses paid family leave at Civic Life Lunch

Carol Joyner, director of the Labor Project for Working Families at Family Values at Work Action, spoke with Tufts students on Sept. 22 as part of the Civic Life Lunch Speaker Series hosted by Tisch College. Joyner discussed her more than two decades of work on issues surrounding workers’ rights, including advocating for paid leave and for more comprehensive child care for workers. READ MORE

NEWS | TCU elects new Allocations Board member, hears updates from Community senators and General Board

After taking roll call, TCU President Jaden Pena introduced Elections Commission Co-Chair Ethan Walsey, who led an election to name an additional member to the TCU Allocations Board. Senators were asked to nominate each other, and Class of 2024 Senators Emily Childs and John Henry Waymack were ultimately chosen as the candidates. READ MORE

I arrived on Sept. 17, two days before Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. This was enough time to recover from jet lag for an afternoon and spend the following day purchasing groceries and a phone plan. ARTS | Rihanna to headline Super Bowl LVII halftime show

Rihanna will be the first solo act to headline the Super Bowl halftime show in two years since The Weeknd headlined in 2021. Rihanna also becomes the first sole female headliner since Lady Gaga’s set in 2017. READ MORE
