Video: Tufts students share thoughts on controversial Massachusetts ballot Question 2

On Oct. 18, members of the Daily asked Tufts students what they think about Massachusetts ballot Question 2, which could end a state mandate that requires students to pass the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System exam to graduate. If this measure passes, it would eliminate the MCAS as a graduation requirement for high schoolers across the state.

The humanity of ‘The Last of Us’ makes it stand out

Based on the hit Naughty Dogaction-adventure game of the same name, HBO’s “The Last of Us'' (2023–) took the world by storm, with the premiere episode racking up 4.7 million viewers. The critically acclaimed series is set in a post-apocalyptic United States ridden with zombie-esque creatures infected by a mutated fungus, ‘Cordyceps.’ It follows Joel (Pedro Pascal), a world-weary smuggler who lost his daughter Sarah on the day of the outbreak, as he travels across the country escorting Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a young girl immune to the virus. The series focuses on the pair’s growing bond and their father-daughter connection, while also highlighting humanity in a post-apocalyptic world.

Video: Students housed at The Court discuss life in modular dorms

On April 8, Dean of Student Affairs Camille Lizarríbar announced that 150 first-year students would be living in temporary dormitories at 91, 93 and 95 Professors Row during the 2022–23 school year. Three modular buildings, each equipped with a laundry room, a common area, a kitchen and air conditioning, were transformed into The Court at Professors Row.
