No. 13 Tufts men’s basketball fell to the University of Redlands, 95–93, in a suspenseful overtime battle in the NCAA second round on Saturday — concluding a 22–6 season in which Tufts also made it to the NESCAC semifinals. In Photos: Men’s basketball beats Bates

In a thrilling end to the regular season, Tufts men’s basketball came back from a 10-point deficit to beat Bates in overtime, 83–75, on Saturday in Cousens Gym. The team also honored graduating Jumbos on Senior Day. In the NESCAC tournament, the No. 3 seed Tufts will host No. 6-seeded Williams at home on Saturday at 2 p.m. Read the Daily's full recap here.

In Photos: Porter Square Books turns the page with new expansion

In November, Porter Square Books celebrated the official grand reopening of its Cambridge location — an expanded space 1,000 feet away from the previous shop. At 1815 Massachusetts Ave., the new location inside the Lesley University mall enabled the independent bookstore to expand its shelf capacity and offer more cafe seating. In Photos: Essence takes home the Riff-Off crown

Ten a capella groups. Only one victor. The Riff-Off brought all Tufts a capella groups under one roof at Cohen Auditorium in a competition sponsored by the Tufts University Social Collective. The Ladies of Essence defended last year’s win with another first-place finish on Friday night. The next-most votes went to the Jackson Jills while S-Factor landed in third place.

In Photos: An Applejam Halloween

Applejam Productions presented its annual Halloween cover show on Friday night. The lineup included the bands Toolbox, Cutting Corners, Not Your Bubbe’s Klezmer, Call from Earth, Flies for Fly Fishing, Drift, The 128s and Graperoots.
