On Oct. 14, the Tufts Beelzebubs performed some of their greatest hits at an energetic a cappella concert live in the Tufts Daily newsroom. Members of the group then sat down with the Daily to discuss grappling with national recognition, building an inclusive culture and how they approach live performances — plus, where the Bubs get those iconic red pants.
Tufts senior Veronica Stewart-Frommer leads a double life of sorts. She's the lead singer of Melt — a nationally touring, Billboard-charting indie-soul band — and a full-time college student. The Daily recently sat down with Stewart-Frommer for an extended conversation on activism, finding balance and building community through music.
On March 12, Tufts student band Emperor Jones performed a Tiny Desk Concert live in the Daily newsroom, delivering a dynamic, jazz-infused set. Though the members of the band come from diverse backgrounds, they are united through a common love of making music — and the Grateful Dead.
On Nov. 14, the Tufts Concert Choir and Chamber Singers presented their fall concert, "Halcyon Days." It was their first performance, live or virtual, in nearly two years. The Daily was there as the choirs returned to the stage.
