First Half:

18:50 - Jumbos strike first with a layup from Kanner, and then the tri-captain comes up with a huge block at the other end.

17:05 - Kanner and North both come up with two baskets apiece in the paint, take an 8-0 lead to start the game. Dillon working well with the Jumbos' front court to find open baskets.

16:04 - Two offensive rebounds from Roberson keep the Jumbos' alive on offense, but Tufts unable to convert.

14:59 - First-year Melissa Baptista and sophomore Josie Lee check into the game. Baptista makes immediate impact with a fast-break layup. 12-2 Jumbos.

13:51 - Lee also making her presence known, drills a 3 from the wing (same spot as the shot that sent the Jumbos into overtime against the Continentals first time around). Jumbos lead by 13 early on. Hamilton spends its second timeout.

10:46 - Jumbos relentless on defense against Hamilton junior Sam Graber (leads NESCAC in ppg). Missed shot leads to Jumbos fast break where Kanner finishes a layup. Tufts forces shot clock violation on next Hamilton possession.

9:52 - Senior tri-captain Kelsey Morehead checks into game for first time since winter break.

8:40 - Graber forces Tufts foul, hits both free throws. Tufts holds a 19-6 lead.

7:59 - Timeout for Hamilton after Baptista converts a layup and then Hamilton throws wild pass out of bounds.

4:45 - Graber connects on a 3, Dillon answers with a long jumper. Tufts' lead at 28-11 with just under five to play in first half.

2:55 - Combination play between Foley and North down low leads to a North layup to beat the shot clock. Jumbos extend lead to 18.

36 sec - Morehead's first points since late December come on a 3-pointer on the wing to put the Jumbos up 23. Crowd explodes in applause.

Halftime Stats: Hamilton shooting just 19 percent from the floor. Graber leads team with seven points on 1-of-7 shooting. Jumbos led by North and Kanner with six points apiece.

 

Second Half:

19:26 - Jumbos start half with a Kanner layup off Foley's assist. Hamilton answers with a bucket of its own.

17:06 - Continentals try to double North on entry pass, but the sophomore center converts another basket to put the Jumbos up by 28.

14:27 - Kanner comes up with big block on Graber in battle of the teams' two stars. Jumbos still up by 28.

12:50 - Roberson hits a 3 to extend Jumbos' lead to 31.

12:19 - Tufts is having its way on offense. Roberson finds North down low for an easy layup. Jumbos lead 51-18, Hamilton burns fifth timeout.

10:07 - Tufts forced use its first timeout of the game as Hamilton starts to build momentum on seven straight points. Graber hits a layup, and then first-year Lauren Getman hits a shot and a 3 pointer.

7:30 - Hamilton momentum broken up by a 3 from Lauren Dillon. Jumbos still up by 23.

7:08 - Jumbos draw first foul of the half on a Hannah Foley layup. She hits both free throws to push the lead to 25.

1:13 - Continentals slowly chipping away at Jumbos' but a 3 from junior Nicole Brooks puts Tufts up by 23.

Final - Jumbos win NESCAC quarterfinal matchup with Hamilton 64-43. Jumbos advance to semifinals at home next weekend in search of their second straight NESCAC championship.
