Tufts Athletics | All weekend athletic events postponed, some rescheduled for Sunday

With Nor'easterNemo rolling into town and preparing to wreak havoc on the Northeast, the Athletic Department has postponed all competition for every sport this weekend.

Some events have already been rescheduled. The men's and women's basketball teams will now play on Sunday afternoon at 12 and 2pm, respectively, instead of their original games scheduled for Friday night. Those two games will serve as Senior Nights for the Jumbos, as both teams will look to close out their regular seasons against the Hamilton Centennials.

The men's and women's track and field teams' Cupid Challenge event has been pushed back to Sunday at 11am from its original time on Saturday. The Jumbos' meet at Boston University that was originally slated for this evening, however, has not yet been rescheduled.

The two final home games of the men's hockey team's season have been postponed, and the men's and women's track and field teams will have their final tuneup meets before Div. III championships pushed back. Finally, the Div. III Individual Championships for the squash teams will be rescheduled.

No word has been given on how these postponements will affect the NESCAC and national playoff schedules. Check next week's Daily for updates on that and the ever?changing playoff picture.
