Derosa named an All-ECAC East/NESCAC All-Star by New England Hockey Writers

Sophomore wing Tom Derosa added to his list of accolades for this season on Tuesday, garnering one of 12 spots on the New England Hockey Writers' (NEHW) All-ECAC East/NESCAC team. He is the first Jumbo since forward Matt McCarthy (LA ‘06) to be named to the roster.

Derosa, a member of the All-NESCAC Second Team, led the Jumbos in scoring with 28 points on the season. He was also tied for fifth in the NESCAC with 15 goals, including five game winners. Thanks in large part to his stellar play, Tufts had its best season since 2004-05, going 11-12-2 and earning a berth in the NESCAC Tournament. Derosa and the other members selected for the team will be honored Monday, April 13 at the NEHW Annual Awards Banquet in Saugus.

Earlier this offseason, Derosa was also named a semifinalist for the Joe Concannon Award, given to the best American-born hockey player at the Div. II-III level.
