Women's Track and Field | DMR team hopes for win at indoor nationals

The women's track and field team has not seen as much success at Nationals in recent years as it may have liked, but senior tri-captain Sarah Crispin and juniors Cat Beck, Katy O'Brien and Kaleigh Fitzpatrick are hoping to change that at this weekend's 2007 NCAA Div. III Indoor Championships, held at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.

Women's Track and Field | Beck leads the pack again and Jumbo runners follow

Led by junior Catherine Beck, whose 4:53.45 mile broke her own Tufts record and launched her into the country's top spot in the event, the Jumbos placed third in their last home invitational of the season with a final score of 106.50. The squad finished just behind second-place UMass-Lowell, who scored 111.166. But it was Williams College that ran away with the Stampede, compiling a score of 210.

Women's track gets early-season look at Husky Carnival

The Husky Winter Carnival on Saturday was a day for the Tufts women's track and field to discover just what type of team it can expect this year. Held at the Reggie Lewis Center at Northeastern, the field featured a competitive sampling of New England teams, including Boston University, UMass Lowell, Bryant, and host Northeastern. The meet was not scored but served as a good benchmark for the remainder of the season.
