Undergraduate admissions statistics for the Class of 2014

Overall applicant pool for the  Class of 2014 is 15,436, the third largest pool in Tufts history and a three percent increase from last year.

This is the sixth year in a row in which the number of undergraduate applicants has been above 15,000.

The Early Decision (ED) pool increased by six percent.

The School of Engineering received 2,333 applications, a five percent increase from last year, marking the fourth consecutive year of record applications to the engineering school.

Engineering applications have, in the last five years, increased by 31 percent.

The number of African American applicants rose by 14 percent, setting a new record.
