12:37 - North knocks down another jumper. That's nine for her less than halfway through the first.

11:30 - Pine Manor zone forces a Tufts turnover. Gators staying in the game with gritty offensive rebounding. 13-7 Jumbos.

10:28 - Senior tri-captain Kelsey Morehead knocks down a 3, and Lauren Dillon goes coast-to-coast on a steal for a layup. Tufts stretches lead to 11, Pine Manor calls a timeout.

9:18 - North converts a layup. She is dominating offensively in the paint.

8:48 - Lee barely misses a 3 from the corner, but Kanner is there for the offensive rebound and a gets fouled. She hits one of two, Jumbos lead by 14.

8:05 - Beautiful passing from the Jumbos beats the Gators'  zone, leads to another North basket.

6:56 - Jumbos really working the ball around well. Wide-open Jumper for junior Michelle Wu puts Jumbos up by 18. Timeout on the floor, Tufts subbing a nearly full lineup change. Junior Nicole Brooks, Roberson, Dillon, Folliard and Kanner will be on the court.

4:52 - Sophomore Katy Hicks and North check in for Kanner and Folliard. Jumbos lead by 21 with just under five to play in first half.

2:45 - Another basket for North (17 pts) followed by a steal and layup for Roberson stretches the gap to 25. Tufts leads 34-9.

2:00 - North now at 19 first-half points.

50. 7 s - Jumbos having their way in the paint. North has 21 points now, Tufts leads by 25.

HALFTIME: Vaughan connects on a 3 for Pine Manor. Score 38-18 Jumbos at the intermission.

Halftime Stats: North leads way with 21 first-half points. Jumbos outrebounding Gators 27-17. Gators just 7-of-30 from the floor (23.3 percent). Tufts at 47.2 percent from the floor.

Second Half:

18:50 - Kanner starts the half with a block on defense, but Franklin follows it up with a layup to start the half with a Pine Manor score. Kanner finishes on the other end to answer. 40-20 Tufts.

17:46 - Great offensive find from Vaughan to Jones down low. Pine Manor having some early success on offense. Can they stop the Jumbos down low?

16:09 - Huge and-one layup for Isaac after a Pine Manor steal. She hits the layup to cut the margin to 17. Gators are giving Tufts a little trouble with the press on defense.

14:35 - Lee converts a fast-break layup for the Gators. Tufts leads by 17.

13:38 - Huge 3 from Michelle Wu puts Jumbos up by 20 again, but Jones hits two layups in back-to-back possessions to continue to whittle away at the lead.

10:12 - Jumbos starting to roll with momentum. Three straight baskets for Kanner followed by a layup from Lee. North then hits her 24th and 25th points of the game on a layup. Jumbos lead 60-35.

8:00 - Morehead hits a huge 3-pointer to beat the shot clock. Jumbos pulling away, up 65-37.

7:00 - Jones hits an and-one layup for Pine Manor to keep Tufts honest. Jumbos turn the ball over but then force a Pine Manor turnover on the ensuing possession. Brooks draws a foul and hits two free throws to push the Tufts lead to 27.

4:49 - Jumbos have all but put the game out of reach at this point. Dillon hits a 3 in the corner to increase the lead to 32. First-year Jennie Mucciarone and senior Hannah Artner check into the game. Artner hits a shot on her first shot, and Mucciarone makes impact as well on the very next possession with an and-one layup.

1:36 - Jumbos still scoring led by Mucciarone and Artner. Lead has increased to 39 points with a minute left in regulation.

FINAL: Jumbos post definitive win in first round of the NCAA tournament with a 41-point 87-46 win over the Pine Manor Gators.

North leads way for Jumbos with game-high 25 points and adds 13 rebounds for another double-double. Three Jumbos score in double figures. Pine Manor led by Jones (16 points, four rebounds) and Vaughan (12 points, four rebounds).

Tufts size too much for Pine Manor to overcome. Gators average over 70 ppg on the season, but tonight were held to just 46.

Tufts will play the St. John Fisher Cardinals tomorrow at 5 p.m. in another game at Cousens Gym.
