Police Briefs Feb. 8

Burnt Beans

Someone unintentionally burnt beans in the Latin Way Apartments at 12:41 p.m. on Feb. 1. The fire department came in response and vented the room before allowing a system reset.

Dislocated Knee

Someone called from the Tisch Sports and Fitness Center basketball court after suffering from a potential dislocated knee at 9:50 p.m. on Feb. 3. The person was then taken to the hospital.

Bleeding Eye

A student called the Tufts University Police Department (TUPD) about his eye bleeding outside of Health Services at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 6. He appeared to have broken several blood vessels in his eye. He suffered the injury while removing his contacts and went to the hospital as a result.

Booze Thief?

Someone jumped over the bar at Winter Ball at Royale Boston on Feb. 6 at 9:30 p.m. and tried to open a cooler which had alcohol. Royale security spotted the culprit and accompanied this person out of the nightclub.

Car Damage

While backing out of a spot on Talbot Ave. at the intersection with College Avenue at 1:35 p.m. on Feb. 7, a driver hit another car. Both cars experienced slight damage, although nobody was hurt, and TUPD helped the drivers transfer information.
