Booking It

On Sept. 4 at 7:12 p.m. a person was spotted on the roof of Cousens Gym and was reported to Tufts University Police Department (TUPD). Officers located the person, who was a Tufts student, and removed him from the roof. The student claimed to have been reading on the roof and had a book with him when he was discovered.

One Drink Too Many

At 11:50 p.m. on Sept. 5th a student in Haskell Hall was transported to Somerville Hospital due to intoxication. The student told officers that he had consumed a variety of drinks, including gin, whisky, beer, vodka and wine. When asked how much he had to drink, the student responded, “too many.”

Fall Ball: Reprise

At Gantcher Center during Fall Gala on Sept. 6, a student who was having trouble walking was noticed by officers at 9:28 p.m. He was brought to the lobby, and Tufts Emergency Medical Services was called. The student claimed to not have his ID, supplied a false name and said he had had one shot of vodka. Officers then removed his ID from his wallet, establishing his identity. The student was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

An intoxicated student at Carmichael Hall at 10:28 p.m. stated that he had had four or five shots earlier in the night and had attended Fall Gala. After the gala, he claimed he did not feel well and was subsequently transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Events staff at Fall Gala reported at 10:50 p.m. that a student had been seen tampering with electrical equipment. The student, when questioned by TUPD, responded that he had tripped over the equipment and was trying to fix it. People from the lighting and sound company stated that they had received an alarm, looked outside and observed a student disconnecting an LED disk and attempting to steal it before an employee prevented him from doing so.

An intoxicated student at Hodgdon Hall was transported to Somerville Hospital at 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 6. He was in the process of taking a shower when TUPD arrived.

At 1:58 a.m. a student informed TUPD he had had four shots of vodka. He was subsequently transported to Somerville Hospital.
